Wages: Hourly($18.20) plus Performance-based bonuses & Tips. Potential to make $23-$29 when including the bonuses & Tips

We are a customer service company that happens to pick up Junk (unwanted items from customers). To provide the best customer service we pride ourselves on punctuality, working hard, and the ability to think outside of the box. While staying efficient and hitting our metric goals.

We are now primarily hiring candidates that have the ability to become Drivers. Drivers who work in pairs are assigned a route with multiple services around the bay area, the number of services can fluctuate throughout the day ranging from one big job to multiple small jobs. 1-800-Got-Junk is a Green Company, we donate and divert as much as possible. About 85 % of what we take gets diverted from landfills by in house diversion as well as sorting facility use. WE NEVER GO TO LANDFILLS… EVER!!

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving: Get trained in-house to safely drive Isuzu NPR/NQR/NRR trucks

• Truck Operations: Safe operation of the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Trucks

• Junk Diversion: Recognize donatable items, recyclables, and items of want for diversion from sorting facilities to be reused by those in need.

• Marketing: Enthusiastically advocate for our brand to all you meet and encounter - from Guerilla Marketing to Mobile Marketing in our trucks.

• Safety: Commitment to the safe and professional navigation and driving of trucks, intelligent and efficient loading & unloading of customers belongings.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift over 50 pounds consistently.

• Must be able to drive for over 1 hour at a time from job to job.

• Must be able to load and unload items with and without dollies

You must:

• Have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation to get to work on time, and a clean driving record. 

• Start time availability between 7am-1pm, weekends, holidays, and all weekdays (at least 4 - 5 days a week)

• Be able to work full days (ie. 7- 9 hours per day on average)

• Be able to pass a background check

• Be Drug-free - we are a drug-free workplace

• Have a working cell phone
• Have to be able to work at least one weekend day
