Degree in Social Work or Education or a related field Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience working with youth ages 6 -17 Experience to include: - Crisis management - Group facilitation - Public speaking Currently resides or has formerly resided in zip codes 79601 or 79603 Supervises: Mentors and other volunteers as needed Summary: The Community Youth Development Coordinator is responsible for recruiting students and facilitating both curricular and non-curricular PHSR programming and assisting with the YAC and YLD facilitation. This position will primarily provide programming offsite in collaboration with our local community partners. In the summer, this position will also oversee the ancillary services. Recruit and retain community partners and the youth they serve, to participate in Youth Leadership Development curriculum, PHSR curriculum -- including life skills and non-curricular programming -- and ancillary services 2. Facilitate the above listed curricula to youth in community-based groups and within the BCFS offices 3. Complete intake assessments and pre- and post-tests required by the program 4. Ensure a welcoming and deliberately inclusive environment for all participants, enacting targeted engagement strategies for BIPOC youth and youth who identify as LGBTQIA 5. Participate in the annual Community Strengths and Needs Assessment process, including distributing surveys, facilitating focus groups and interviews, providing direct feedback, and compiling/analyzing program data. 6. Continuously abide by Positive Youth Development framework principles 7. Continuously employ Trust Based Relational Intervention strategies 8. Frequently works evenings and weekends to accommodate the needs of student participants. 9. Maintain BCFS HHS/BCFS professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in BCFS employee handbook, including demonstrating respect for agency staff, youth, and community members and always complying with required dress code 10. There are three specialty areas within the coordinator roles: career navigator, mentor recruitment and training, and YAC assistant coordinator. These roles will be assigned as needed. 11. Other duties as assigned. Measurable Deliverables: 1. Meet or exceed enrollment numbers and meeting frequency (either in-person or virtually when approved) specified by the grant. 2. Ensure participants complete the social justice projects as specified by the grant. 3. Maintain 95% quality assurance compliance, including timely and accurate data entry, curricula and TBRI fidelity adherence, form completion, budget adherence/financial reporting, and other reporting as required by the program. 4. Maintain 85% or more positive youth satisfaction survey scores. 5. 90% or more of youth instructed by this position demonstrate increased knowledge following life skills instruction 6. 90% or more of youth instructed by this position demonstrate attitudinal change following life skills instruction 7. 100% of youth participating in programming remain safe and do not participate in delinquent behavior while receiving services.
