Monitor Technician - PRN Job Description Monitor Technicians observes cardiac monitors for rate, rhythm and dysrhythmias. Department: Progressive Care Unit Hours: PRN - varies as needed Requirement: HS Diploma Pay based on applicable experience; starting at $16. Responsibilities Admits and discharges patients from the monitoring system., Changes alarms and limits as directed for individual patient monitoring, under the direction of a Registered Nurse., Interprets strips of monitor rhythm and posts them on proper chart form., Notifies appropriate personnel of alarm situations and changes in rhythm., Orders supplies and maintenance/repairs needed for optimal service., Serves as a customer service representative and receptionist as needed., Supports relationship-based care.
