Job Description: The Senior Tax Manager’s primary responsibilities include managing the domestic annual income tax cycle and sales tax function, as well as supporting international income tax accounting and compliance. This role will report directly to Vice President, Global tax and have ample opportunities to perform and grow in all areas of multi-national taxation, including M&A support. This role will be primarily remote, however occassional in-office meetings may occur at the Kansas City Metro office. Responsibilities Manage and mentor the tax team to ensure the team’s continued professional growth and development. Income Tax Global Tax Provision / ASC 740 – preparation / review Federal & State Tax compliance – preparation / review Global Tax Planning and Cash Forecasting International statutory provision / compliance - preparation / review M&A – tax support Tax controversy – Income Tax Audit management Sales Tax Business Unit consulting – contract review, material/product review and general support Administration – act in review role for monthly US and Canada compliance cycle Procurement – support procurement team from a taxation perspective Tax controversy – Sales Tax Audit management Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification preferred At least 8 years of experience in corporate income tax, with a deep understanding of ASC 740 and compliance administration Sales Tax experience preferred Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of management and external stakeholders Experience managing tax audits #LI-REMOTE, #LI-GM1 If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
