SUMMER INTERN PROGRAM SUMMARY

Bring your passion and insight to a company that is committed to driving long- term sustainable growth this summer for our 10-week summer internship at our Headquarters in Portland, Oregon!  Interns can expect to gain valuable hands-on experience within their department while building partnerships with teams and fellow interns along the way! 

  • Location: Portland, OR 

  • Duration: ~10 weeks 

  • Start Date Options: May 19th- July 25th or June 23rd - August 29th 

  • Application Deadline: January 26th, 2025

  • Pay: $22.50/hr.

ABOUT THE POSITION 

Supply Chain Transformation Intern will support the Supply Chain Transformation work including the automation of our supply chain processes. Our engineering team oversees projects to move all of our associates from manual to automation to optimize their decision making. This internship will focus on setting a road map for optimizing our Master Data Automations, in partnership with our local leaders and global partners, as well as support other projects as needed.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE 

Our Master Data updates are complex and manual. You will help us determine what automations are the most impactful, how we should sequence the work, and what impacts those changes will have.

YOU ARE 

  • Ability to maintain positive open lines of communication with all Columbia Sportswear management, staff, and other departments in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and effective operation of the organization.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Continuous improvement mindset.

  • High level communication and presentation skills.

  • Possess strong organization skills. Ability to meet strict timelines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • An understanding of how macros, bots, and other automation tools (PEGA) can be used to automate data changes.

YOU HAVE 

  • An understanding of supply chain.

  • The ability to occasionally (at most 2X/month) participate in a phone call with international partners at 8pm or 9pm.

  • A minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.7 from an accredited college or university.  

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS 

  • Current student with one of the following academic standings: Rising Senior, Senior, Graduate/ MBA student  

  • Degree relevant to the internship you are applying for 

  • Must be able to participate in 10-week program for either date option provided above 

  • Must be able to work onsite at our headquarter location for the duration of the internship- interns will partner directly with their managers regarding expectations to work collaboratively in office specified days of the week 

NON-LOCAL CANDIDATE CONSIDERATIONS 

  • Relocation assistance & housing is NOT provided- these costs and arrangements would be the responsibility of the intern for the entirety of the program
