We are looking for an Automation Systems Engineer to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Director, Equipment Engineering - Automation and based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week. Role and Responsibilities: Assist in the design, build, test, and launch of proprietary equipment. Lead and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of Bloom equipment. Collaborate with process and design teams to define equipment specifications. Oversee the entire equipment development lifecycle, from concept to manufacturing. Manage project timelines, resources, and reporting. Oversee equipment build and test processes. Ensure equipment quality assurance throughout development and implementation. Work with facility and maintenance engineers to install and support equipment in the factory. BSc or advanced degree in mechanical, chemical, physics or related engineering field. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems. Experience with supplier management and remote team collaboration. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to travel internationally up to 30%.
