Job Description Summary Job Purpose Responsible for performing routine equipment maintenance and basic electrical, troubleshooting and solving equipment issues and assisting in continuous improvement efforts. Job Description Job Responsibilities: Install and modify new and existing mechanical electrical equipment according to installation instructions. Perform equipment start-ups, repairs and overhauls. Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures. Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment or software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems. Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use or to analyze malfunctions. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems. Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts, such as gaskets or seals in electrical equipment. Performs preventative maintenance and modifications to the mechanical electrical systems as needed Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, project plans and technical documents. Troubleshooting and problem solving skills and ability to diagnose problems and recommend cost-effective solutions Other tasks as assigned Basic & Preferred Qualifications Position Requirements Minimum 1-year related experience Experiences analyzing electrical and mechanical problems and devise and carry out effective plans for repair. Ability to communicate technical information. Skills in teamwork and communication including leadership, problem solving, interpreting adaptability/flexibility and time management. Physical Environment/Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, twist, and turn frequently. Exposed to outdoor and indoor environments that vary from hot to cold, exposure for up to 14 hours per work day, including loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells, and allergies Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead and in or under the equipment. Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work at ground level and in high places to perform job duties—the ability to operate work-related equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders to enter equipment regularly.
