Associate Procurement Specialist

Reporting to the Director of Procurement, You will be accountable for procurement activities within agriculture, energy and risk management with potential ad-hoc requests within packaging, protein, and ingredient procurement. You will build a foundation to be a purchasing professional and will learn the use of derivatives to aide in managing total delivered costs. You will be involved in economic research, problem resolution, master data analysis, presenting strategies, and transaction processing and reporting. You Will: Purchase commodities within variety of categories wherein activities include strategy development, communication, negotiation and implementation. Be the lead analyst for position management within our risk management segment. Use different reports, on a scheduled basis, to help with coverage management for purchasing and audit purposes. Manage economics reports Provide research and support ad hoc projects. Develop and implement contract reconciliation processes with suppliers. Become proficient in procurement Enterprise Resource Systems and serve as a subject matter expert in these arenas. Maintain relationships with multiple contacts and suppliers. Develop an understanding of market supply and demand dynamics and cost drivers. Develop an understanding of company facilities and requirements, capabilities, processes, and constraints. You Have: Bachelor's degree. Zero plus years of experience Demonstrated proficiency in math, with a desire to apply statistics and use fact-based answers to achieve solutions. Experience with Excel (can perform complex functions) PowerPoint. Exposure to Microsoft Power BI with the desire to learn Research and maintain economic opinions.
