Job Description TechStyleOS is currently looking for a Benefits Manager. How Do You Fit In? You seek to work in an exciting and fast-paced environment. As a Benefits Manager, you hold the key to curating just the right benefits package for our employees. With this understanding you will be responsible for designing, implementing and administering our benefits programs at TechStyle. Your efforts will have a direct impact on the satisfaction of an employee’s experience with the company and play a strategic role with employee retention. What You Will Do: Manages the operations of our employee benefits programs, such as our 401(k) retirement savings plan, group health plan, flexible spending accounts, and dental, vision, life insurance, and wellness benefits Brainstorms design enhancements to our existing benefits programs that take into account current benefits trends, employee feedback, current employee participation rates, business budget/goals/parameters, while remaining market competitive Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing laws, regulations, and updates to legal requirements. Performs annual compliance testing for our 401(k) and health and welfare plans Maintains an employee benefits handbook for new hire onboarding and benefits orientation activities Approves invoices, ACH debits, or checks for purposes of funding our HSAs, FSAs, and state unemployment and disability benefits Oversees benefits audits, updates, and corrections; including but not limited to, our health insurance, FSA, HSA, vision, dental, life insurance and 401(k) plans. Comfortable liaising with Accounting, Payroll, and HRIS to timely resolve any issues Interprets our benefits policies and procedures to timely support inquiries that come through our benefits e-mail inbox. Employee requests include, but are not limited to, assistance with enrollment, COBRA, life event changes, leave of absence, disability enrollment and claims, adoption assistance reimbursement and life insurance evidence of insurability documentation Partners with external vendors to administer leave of absence and worker’s compensation programs, including ongoing case management Reviews employee benefits reports from Workday (HRIS system) as needed; Guides benefits team professionals by coaching, counseling, and mentoring; Familiarizes oneself with the various administration systems in place to support our benefits programs Has a general understanding of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) processes and controls compliance with respect to reporting and maintaining supporting documentation for internal and external auditors and responds accurately, thoroughly, and timely to requests for data Support planning and preparation for 401(k) committee meetings Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including HR Business Partners, the Payroll team, the Finance team, and the Legal team, and maintaining strong and supportive interdepartment relationships to offer and receive assistance where necessary Helps ensure benefits offerings are comprehensive and provide a positive user experience through analysis of benefit utilization, vendor management, and flexibility for making plan changes Collaborates with overall human resources team to improve processes, roll out new changes when necessary, and communicate to employee population through regular education sessions What You Can Bring: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a benefits role. Experience leading junior team members is preferred SHRM or other relevant certification High degree of personal integrity, strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow as a Total Rewards professional Has an attention to detail and customer-focused approach Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Experience building data visualizations in Tableau, Looker, or another visualization tool Advanced skills in MS Excel, including LOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, formulas and charting Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate across all management levels throughout the organization Desire to apply strategic thinking and analytical skills in a fast-paced, high-growth entrepreneurial environment Aptitude for skillfully translating data analysis into business recommendations Proven ability to multi-task and balance multiple project priorities A willingness to roll up one’s sleeves and do whatever it takes to achieve solutions and win as a team Nice To Have: Relevant experience with subscription models, ecommerce and/or fashion/retail sector Experience partnering with Human Resources teams to pull custom segments Familiarity with HRIS, benefits and equity administration systems, particularly, Shareworks, Fidelity NetBenefits and Automatic Data Processing (ADP) Experience with statistical methods & models such as statistical significance calculations Experience working on integrations projects (e.g., partnering with engineering to ingest data from a new vendor & modeling it for analytics consumption) Interest in learning data engineering skills, such as data pipeline management Compensation & Total Rewards At TechStyleOS, we believe work and life should fit together! The range provided includes the base salary that TechStyleOS expects to pay for the role.
