Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, creative Chef for culinary operations in our establishment. Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold culinary standards
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to deliver high-quality dishes consistent with restaurant or catering specifications
- Manage inventory control, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs
- Maintain and update menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Coordinate catering, and special functions with attention to dietary restrictions and client requirements
- Supervise shift management, including scheduling staff shifts and delegating responsibilities effectively
- Oversee kitchen maintenance, equipment operation, and cleanliness to ensure a safe working environment
- Manage food service operations in collaboration with front-of-house teams to enhance guest satisfaction
- Train new staff members on food handling, safety procedures, and culinary techniques
Skills
- A strong background in fine dining in a unique environment, catering, or restaurant management. Culinary studies in above listed skills considered.
- Proven supervising experience with team management skills and leadership qualities
- Knowledge of banquet experience, dietary department standards, and food production processes
- Expertise in menu planning, food preparation, kitchen management, and inventory control
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Experience in hospitality settings with a focus on food service management and customer satisfaction
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism
- Proficiency in food handling, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations within the food industry
- Willing to consider a recent culinary grad with a strong drive for excellence
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
