Position Summary
The Retail Marketing & Community Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in executing and supporting Native Sun’s local marketing and brand presence. This individual serves as a direct link between the marketing department and our dispensary teams, helping organize community engagement, events, artisan markets, and capturing content that highlights the Native Sun culture, vision, and guest experience. The ideal candidate is creative, highly organized, self-motivated, community-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative and communicative environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the coordination leader for ongoing and future retail campaigns and event coordination at Native Sun retail stores and in the community.
- Collaborate with Retail Leadership to plan, promote, and execute engaging, impactful community events at all Native Sun dispensaries and their respective communities and coordinate community outreach at all dispensary locations.
- Create and actively manage Eventbrite listings for events, ensuring alignment with in-store and social media promotion as well as blog content on the Native Sun website.
- Tell the Native Sun brand story through multi-media content. Capture and edit product, lifestyle, event and in-store content (photo/video/copy) for use in-store, in email campaigns and social media
- Manage and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn, with a focus on engaging store-level content that drives traffic to our stores, increases reach and followers, increases engagements, and increases average cart sizes
- Support Google Business Profile (GBP), and Yelp listings with regular photo uploads, Q&A updates, and promotional links
- Assist with Alpine IQ loyalty campaigns, including activations for new personas to the program
- Collaborate on the execution and placement of in-store signage, flyers, merchandise and other marketing materials.
- Build and maintain relationships with SEO and marketing support contacts.
- Audit in-store and e-commerce menu listings for product accuracy and aesthetic.
- Ensure in-store aesthetic aligns with the Native Sun brand guidelines and expectations.
- Track performance of in-store campaigns and community events using Key Performance Indictors, data, and analysis and share reports with the Directors of Marketing and Retail and implement feedback to improve future initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations, including Cannabis Control Commission guidelines

Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in retail marketing, social media management, or community engagement
- Experience coordinating events or grassroots marketing activations is a strong plus
- Experience using social platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Proficient in Canva and basic photo/video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Express, InShot)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work across multiple store locations weekly
- Passionate about cannabis culture, local communities, and supporting small businesses
- Ability to work evenings/weekends occasionally for events or activations
- Previous cannabis industry experience preferred
- Experience with computer systems such as Cannabis ERP platforms and Excel/Google Sheets
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of post-secondary education in a related field preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Availability on holidays, nights, and weekends required
- Regular travel to other Native Sun locations is required
