167 SUSHI BAR a located at 289 East Bay Street in downtown Charleston, South Carolina.
The menu is seafood driven with traditional Japanese cuisine and techniques, with a rotating specials board based on fresh fish and seasonal produce.
167 Sushi Bar is seeking a sushi chef.
Our chefs provide skill and expertise in the sushi field, previous experience as a sushi chef is required. The sushi station is conducted by 2 team members creating nigiri, sashimi, and maki.
167 Sushi Bar receives high quality seafood and the best ingredients. Working with whole fish that is butchered in house, offers the freshest product for the sushi bar.
167 Sushi Bar is open for 12pm for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday.
This position will be a full time hourly position on the sushi station.
Expected annual gross earnings $60,000 - $75,000.
JOB TASKS
- Set up station for service & prepare mis en place
- Check quality and consistency in food product
- Work with precision
- Prepare ticket items as they are “fired”
- Communicate with team
- Keep station clean
- Replenish station items
- Engage with guest in dining at the sushi bar

REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year, minimum of line cook experience
- Full availability and flexible schedule
- References required
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift 50 lbs
SHIFT AVAILABILITY
- Day Shift 10am - 4:30pm
- Night Shift 3:30pm - 11pm
- Saturday Shifts
