What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Groundskeeper position at 1899 Wright Inn & Carriage House?
1899 Wright Inn & Carriage House in Asheville, NC is looking for one part-time groundskeeper to join our team. We are located on 235 Pearson Drive. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, reliable and hard-working. Flexible days 3 days a week 4 hours per day - 10am - 2pm (approximately).
Responsibilities
· Performs a variety of tasks related to grounds maintenance. i.e. remove debris, branches, leaves.
· Mow, trim, and edge lawn using electric mower, weed eater/trimmer, and edger, and keep the property in a pleasing appearance for guests.
· Maintains lawns, trees, and flower beds by mulching, feeding, aerating, weeding, watering, trimming limbs, hedging shrubs/hedges, trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, and walls
· Spread mulch in the Spring and leaf clean-up in the Fall.
· Operates hand tools and power tools, for example, shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge/brush trimmers, axes, shears, pruners, and chain saw.
· Performs other duties deemed necessary by owners.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least one year of experience in groundskeeping is required. Hourly rate of pay depends on experience.
