The Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing and overseeing all aspects of marketing campaigns to achieve clients' growth goals.
The ideal candidate will be an advanced marketer who is an assertive self-starter and showcases natural follow-through. Analytical and imaginative, they are effective at devising high-level integrated strategies for a diverse client base.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strategize and define tailored campaigns to accomplish client KPIs by leveraging the expertise of all agency divisions, including website development, digital marketing, branding, public relations and direct mail/print
- Facilitate comprehensive discovery on new clients and industries, while also consistently updating and maintaining a knowledge base on client industries to proactively identify and capitalize on new opportunities
- Organize and facilitate collaborative brainstorming sessions with divisional leaders, internal teams and clients to foster strategic discussions and conceptualize creative integrated marketing campaigns
- Analyze data reports and provide actionable recommendations to boost client engagement, increase impressions, enhance brand awareness, establish thought leadership and drive conversions
- Review, edit and offer constructive feedback on diverse client deliverables, such as short and long-form content pieces, website sitemaps, website designs, keyword plans, video storyboards, ad campaigns, public relations pitches and other materials, to ensure high-quality work and maintain brand consistency
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital marketing in order to provide thought leadership and drive innovation
- Lead client meetings and provide marketing and business consultation to drive initiatives, support decision making and provide strategic focus
- Contribute to the growth of the agency by actively participating in business development efforts, which involve upselling and cross-selling to existing clients
- Provide support with team recruitment and oversee the training of new Marketing Strategists
Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience working as a Marketing Strategist, Marketing Manager, Marketing Director or equivalent role
- Understanding of general agency processes and operations
- Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, marketing or related field
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful integrated marketing campaigns
- Advanced knowledge of marketing principles and brand management, including an understanding of account based marketing, website development, social media, email marketing, public relations, search engine marketing and content marketing
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead client meetings effectively
- Comfortability using AI tools for streamlining tasks, research and writing
- A strong sense of accountability and a proactive mindset
- Ability to identify problems and solve them quickly and efficiently
- Upbeat, team-oriented attitude toward team members and clients with a desire to work in a collaborative and inclusive team environment
Candidates must be located within the St. Louis area and will be required to work from the St. Louis office and attend in-person meetings periodically based on client and team needs.
