Position Description The Assistant Branch Managers primary responsibility is to oversee the branches daily operations to ensure that the branch runs smoothly. They will service and expand the Bank’s customer base through daily customer engagement and by promoting 1st State Bank. They will have a deep understanding of both business and personal accounts and services and perform a variety of complex duties to serve customers and prospects.
Position Summary The Assistant Branch Manager will be expected to contribute to the overall success of 1st State Bank by delivering exceptional customer service.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Demonstrates and ensures the branch employees provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure on-going compliance with audit procedures.
- Provide support, overrides and guidance to staff from all locations.
- Coach/Train Staff on a regular basis to improve overall knowledge and skills.
- Assist Branch Manager with performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
- Handle follow up on customer concerns, research and provide solutions.
- Completes monthly reporting requirements.
- Assists with and simplifies problem resolution.
- Support the teller lines with branch operational items and responsibilities; including but not limited to, phones, back counter capture and processing customer transactions.
- Contact customers in various ways for follow up and to pursue new opportunities.
- Actively works to retain and deepen existing customer relationships.
- Knowledge of banking regulations
- Lead by example to fellow employees
- Process overdrafts and decision stop payments as needed
- May facilitate the cleaning needs of the branch location, providing a safe and sanitary environment for employees and customers. Tasks will include, but not limited to the basic cleaning of vacuuming, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, bathrooms, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Follows all 1st State Bank policies, procedures, compliance, and security practices.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (desired)
- High School or GED (required)
- Three or more years of business banking sales and service (required).

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
