Barista

203°F Coffee Co. in Kirkland, WA is looking for a barista to join our 13 person strong team. We are located on 11901 NE Village Plaza in the Totem Lake Village. Our ideal candidate is passionate about the art of crafting espresso and coffee and is interested in learning the skills required to craft beverages highlighting the quality of the beans we source to create a unique culinary tasting experience. Weekend availability both Saturday and Sunday is essential with flexibility to work 1-2 days during the week. Please apply if you are planning on being with us for at least a year. This position makes $16.28, averaging an additional $10-$11 in tips an hour for a total of $25-$26 P/hour.

RETAIL CAFÉ BARISTA

Position Reports To: Café Manager

Responsibilities

*Prepare menu beverages with precision and accuracy *Follow health and safety guidelines Interact with customers regularly and professionally *Adhere to all company policies and protocols, both behind the bar and at the front of house, including those for cash handling and safety, while maintaining a clean and organized work space so fellow team members can locate resources and products quickly *Maintain coffee knowledge on current offerings and confidently and accurately communicate product information to customers *Actively participate in coffee and tea tastings to further product knowledge and help identify any issues or deficiencies *Educate customers on all coffee and teas carried as well as the methods we use to brew them *Assist in the training and development of new staff *Attend training sessions to constantly advance education on coffee, tea, merchandise, and espresso bar skills *Demonstrate an ongoing pursuit of education, training, and industry trends *Maintain and uphold 203°F beverage standards *Being efficient at communication and open to receiving feedback on ways to grow and improve *Adaptability to schedule changes when needed *Maintains high cleanliness standards consistently throughout the store in the areas of store appearance, merchandise and equipment *Assist in the maintaining equipment to ensure consistent quality of beverages is achievable and service remains uninterrupted

Qualifications

*Preferred barista experience but willing to train the right candidate *High integrity with a great attendance record *High School Diploma/or Senior in high school with flexible days during the week and weekends *Strong attention to detail *Ability to listen and communicate effectively *Open to positive/uplifting feedback

This position starting at about 15-20 hours a week with potential to grow into a full time position.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $16.28 - $26.00/hour.
