Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing excellent customer service and administrative support. This role requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering compassionate care.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records using our electronic medical records system.
  • Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing inquiries.
  • Answer phone calls and emails promptly, directing inquiries to the appropriate department or team member.
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure efficient patient flow and satisfaction.
  • Follow office policies and procedures to ensure compliance with privacy regulations and standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating a growth mindset and a commitment to teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting or customer service role preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is advantageous.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
