Position Summary
The Coffee Shop Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the coffee shop, leading the barista team, upholding quality and food safety standards, and ensuring the store operates efficiently and professionally. This is a working manager role that blends leadership with hands-on execution.
The Coffee Shop Manager plays a key role in driving revenue growth through strong scheduling decisions, excellent customer experience, and consistent product quality while operating within company standards, policies, and leadership oversight.
Key Responsibilities (Summary)
- Oversee daily coffee shop operations and serve as Manager on Duty
- Lead, coach, and hold baristas accountable to performance standards
- Create and manage staff schedules within budget
- Ensure drink quality, recipe adherence, and cleanliness across all shifts
- Manage coffee shop inventory and order food-service supplies
- Support barista training and performance reviews
- Resolve customer concerns and maintain a high standard of service
- Create and execute in-store promotions and HQ social media content within guidelines
- Maintain POS accuracy and coordinate with support platforms as needed
Food Safety & Compliance
- Obtain and maintain Food Safety Manager Certification, reimbursed by the company
- Ensure the coffee shop operates in compliance with all health department and food safety regulations
- Train staff on food safety practices and maintain inspection readiness

Qualifications
- Coffee shop or food service leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of espresso and beverage preparation
- Ability to lead, coach, and make operational decisions
- Willingness to work flexible hours and provide coverage when needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
