Position Overview
Job Title: Houseperson (HSKP)
Location: Atlantic Ave, Between 31st & 32nd Street
Schedule: Full-time, seasonal, must be available on weekends and holidays
Shifts: PM (3pm–11pm) & Overnight (11pm–7am)
Work Environment: Oceanfront hotel right on the boardwalk
Summary:
The Houseperson is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring, and work areas. Duties include stripping rooms, replenishing linens, emptying trash, vacuuming, dusting, and assisting room attendants with supplies. This role is key to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of guest and back-of-house areas.
Job Functions:
Strip rooms by removing bed linens, towels, and trash.
Clean hallways, corridors, elevators, stairways, ice rooms, trash areas, and linen closets.
Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
Dust fixtures, frames, and equipment.
Polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
Clean windows, door panels, and sills.
Empty wastebaskets and transport trash/waste to disposal areas.
Stock and deliver supplies as directed.
Replace light bulbs as needed.
Follow all chemical safety guidelines per Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Report to work on time, in uniform, and in accordance with company policy.
Comply with all company policies and procedures related to this position.
Take initiative to greet guests in a friendly, warm manner.
Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:
Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hotel experience preferred but not required.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs. frequently throughout shift.
Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and equipment.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
Flexibility to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
