Bartender

32 North is a NEW upscale restaurant located in the Valley Stream area and seeking experienced and energetic servers & bartenders with a positive attitude to join our team.

We are seeking a skilled and creative mixologist to join our team at 32 North. As a mixologist, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional cocktails, providing personalized beverage experiences to our guests, and contributing to the overall ambiance of our establishment. This position offers the opportunity to showcase your mixology expertise in a sophisticated dining environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and create innovative and high-quality cocktails using premium spirits, fresh ingredients, and creative techniques.
• Collaborate with management to design and update cocktail menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients, trends, and guest preferences.
• Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, spirits, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Engage with guests to understand their preferences, recommend cocktails based on their tastes, and provide exceptional beverage service.
• Ensure that cocktails are beautifully presented, garnished, and served in appropriate glassware to enhance the visual appeal and overall experience.
• Stay informed about spirits, wines, beers, and other beverage products, including their origins, flavors, and production methods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including equipment, glassware, supplies, and inventory management.
• Promote featured cocktails, specialty drinks, and beverage pairings to enhance guest experiences and increase sales.
• Provide training and guidance to other bar staff on cocktail preparation, mixology techniques, and beverage service standards.
• Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies regarding alcohol service, safety, and sanitation

Qualifications:

• 2 years Bartending experience
• In depth knowledge of beer, wine and spirits
• Proven experience and expertise in mixology, including a strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, techniques, and flavor combinations.
• Ability to create unique and innovative cocktails while also staying informed about industry trends and classic recipes.
• Excellent customer service skills with a passion for providing memorable experiences and building rapport with guests.
• Strong verbal communication skills to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and management.
• Maintain high standards of quality, presentation, and accuracy in cocktail preparation and service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Work collaboratively with bar staff, servers, and kitchen team members to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours.

Essential Requirements:

• Available to work various shifts, weekends and holidays
• Walks and stands during entire shift
• Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe
• Remain stationary for long periods of time
• Frequent washing of hands
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slipping and tripping
• You must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
