Position: 2nd Shift Barge Repair Welding Supervisor

Location: Charleston, MO

Job Description:- Lead and supervise welding operations for barge repair projects during the 2nd shift at the Charleston, MO facility.- Oversee a team of welders, ensuring adherence to welding procedures, safety protocols, and project timelines.- Coordinate with the production manager to plan workflow, assign tasks, and prioritize repair activities.- Monitor welding quality, inspect welds, and provide guidance to welding team members for quality control.- Train and mentor welders on proper welding techniques, equipment operation, and safety practices.- Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any issues or concerns within the welding team.- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards for welding operations.

Qualifications:- Previous experience in a supervisory role in welding operations, preferably in barge repair or maritime industry.- Proficient in various welding processes, including stick welding, fluxcore welding, and other techniques used in barge repair.- Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and guide a team of welders effectively.- Knowledge of welding procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards relevant to barge repair projects.- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective coordination and team management.-

Certification in welding, welding supervision, or a related field is beneficial.-

Ability to work the 2nd shift and oversee welding operations during evening hours.- Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency in barge repair welding operations.

Pay $27.00/ $100 Daily in per diem.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
