We are a contracted service provider for FedEx Ground, with multiple locations including Ottumwa (IA), Waterloo (MO), Rockford (IL), St. Louis (MO), Columbia (MO), Humboldt (TN), and our newest location, St. Peters (MO)! Responsibilities of Operations Manager:
- Holding team accountable for their performance; provide coaching and counseling as needed
- Delegating tasks and projects and providing follow-up action
- Ensuring business quality standards are met
- Developing and implementing best practices to maximize team efficiency
- Route planning and management
- Assisting with the hiring process - interviewing candidates, onboarding, offboarding as needed
- Assist in delivering packages as needed
Qualifications of Operations Manager:
- Experience working as a manager or in a leadership role
- Previous experience within FedEx is preferred but not required
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively with team members and management
- High attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
- Strong time-management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize
- Must be mechanically inclined for basic truck needs.
- Able to deliver packages efficiently
