GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Assembly Technician will be responsible for the production of 3SAE products. This position will work under the supervision of the Assembly Manager to complete weekly tasks. The role may be required to interact with the engineering staff to ensure a well-engineered, well-assembled product is delivered on-time.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Assemble various mechanical and electrical components and subcomponents
· Communicate schedule and status updates to Assembly Manager
· Required to self-manage and stay abreast of the appropriate assembly procedures
· Work in conjunction with other Assembly team members to balance work loads
· Achieve and maintain established standards for product quality
· Meet daily production requirements while maintaining a clean and professional work environment
· Maintain a positive attitude, dedication and professionalism
· Effectively communicate any production exceptions to Assembly and/or Production Managers
· Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND REQUIREMENTS:
· Prior assembly and/or electrical experience preferred
· Requires strong mechanical skills and the ability to operate bench tools, hand tools and inspection/test equipment (micrometers, multimeters, and dial indicators)
· Knowledgeable in the use and application of simple electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and have the ability to read engineering drawings and schematics
· Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
· Ability to handle multiple tasks at a given time with an understanding of priorities and urgencies
· Analytical ability to learn assembly, troubleshooting and product qualification procedures
· Ability to meet appropriate productivity/quality standards relative to job responsibilities as outlined by the Assembly Manager
· Thrives on responsibility and can be self-directed
· Must have the ability to listen to direction, manage time, and complete all work as assigned within established timeline
· Ability to work independently and within a team that must coordinate work efforts to complete department and overall operational goals
· Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of technical and business personnel
· Knowledge of MS Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be physically able to perform assigned tasks (incl. walking, standing, bending and reaching for extended periods of time)
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
