4 Corner Resources is seeking a Project Accountant for one of our architecture clients located in Atlanta, GA. As the project accountant, you will be responsible for tracking project progress, investigating variances, approving expenses, and ensuring project billing is issued, and payments are collected.

- Communicate with Project Managers (PMs) and Principals-in-Charge (PICs) regarding contracts, change orders, and billing-related services.
- Review and post consultant invoices, prepare and send draft and final project invoices.
- Maximize client billing opportunities, research unbilled issues, and pursue collections of past due invoices.
- Prepare journal entries, post cash receipts, deposit funds, and manage project setup, inactivation, and employee time transfers in the system.
- Collaborate with PICs, PMs, and the Accounting Manager on resource planning, budgeting, and process improvements.
- Generate reports on receivables, budget vs actual, and profitability, and provide special project analyses.
- Support year-end audits, including research and reconciliation.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent years of experience.
- A minimum of three years of project accountant experience is preferred.
- Deltek Vantagepoint or Vision experience highly preferred.
- A thorough knowledge of standard contract terms, including hourly, lumps sum, not-to-exceed and how they are applied in the billing process.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, along with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the project structure in a client/consultant business environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Compensation starts at $70,000 annually.
- Hybrid schedule: 2 days remote, 3 days onsite in Atlanta, GA.
