GENERAL INTRODUCTION:
The Archbishop, visible principle of unity in his archdiocese, is called to build up the particular Church unceasingly in the communion of all its members, and to ensure that their diverse gifts and ministries, in union with the universal Church, serve to build up all the faithful and to spread the Gospel. (Apostolorum Successores 8). He must take care that all the affairs which belong to the administration of the whole archdiocese are duly coordinated and are ordered to attain more suitably the good of the portion of the people of God entrusted to him.” (Apostolorum Successores 177). Each position employed in the Chancery helps to extend the ministry of the Archbishop in particular ways as outlined in the position description.
Job Summary:
Provide ongoing training and support to parishes, schools, and chancery staff, driving adoption of and stabilization and optimization in the use of ParishStaq (Pushpay), Parishioner Engagement System (“PES”). Supporting our parish staff and volunteers in effectively using ParishStaq to enhance parishioner engagement and manage donations. This role is essential in helping parishes build stronger relationships with their volunteers, track their giving, and foster community involvement through technology.
Responsibilities and Duties:
This role will require a teamwork approach with the ParishStaq leadership and other members of the PES team. Items described below will be done both in partnership with PES Team and independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Teamwork:
• In partnership with the PES Team, planning, coordinating, and executing on ongoing training opportunities.
• Attend team meetings (weekly) and Advisory Council meetings (quarterly), and report on progress of training opportunities.
• Create and coordinate communications for training opportunities and update online learning resources regarding the same.
• Support cybersecurity, data integrity, and best practices in ParishStaq usage.
Training Resources:
• Develop a proficiency in ParishStaq Features and Profile Management
• Develop easy-to-follow training materials tailored to ministry staff roles and volunteers. (e.g., pastors, directors of operations, PAAs, financial leadership, faith formation, outreach coordinators).
• Provide onboarding support for new users and ongoing support for existing users regarding the Archdiocese of Seattle’s ParishStaq instance.
• Stay current on ParishStaq feature updates and translate technical changes into practical guidance.
• Gather feedback to improve training effectiveness and user adoption.
• Coordinate and develop a training resource library and resource program.
• Participate in the creation, organization, and maintenance of the training resources system.
• Create and promote communication campaigns regarding training resources.
PES Program project responsibilities will be deadline-based and fast-paced, with some days/weeks requiring more hours and other days/weeks fewer hours. Meeting project milestones for adoption, stabilization, and optimization will be the key focus. Day-to-day reporting will be to the Director of ParishStaq Program Management, with overall reporting to Kevin Benz, CISO.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Willingness and ability to support the mission of the Church by extending the ministry of the archbishop.
• Ability and desire to use God-given gifts and talents in service of the local Church in support of the collaboration between lay and ordained Ministers.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience or equivalent with ParishStaq or other donor and engagement software platforms (e.g., PDS, ParishSOFT, Realm, Church Community Builder, Planning Center, Salesforce NPSP).
• Understanding of church operations, donor stewardship, and community engagement.
• Effective communication and people skills, with a heart for ministry.
• Experience creating training content for non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with online training tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Workspace, LMS platforms).
• Ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
• Valid WA State Driver’s License and the ability to travel throughout the Archdiocese
Preferred Skills:
• Background in church administration, nonprofit work, or ministry leadership.
• Experience with donor management systems and financial reporting.
• Instructional design or adult education certification or equivalent experience presenting to adult audiences.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
