We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Full-Time Custodian. If you're passionate about maintaining clean and organized spaces while ensuring the smooth setup and teardown of various activities, we want to hear from you!
Required Hours: 7:30am-4pm, Monday through Friday.
What you will be doing:
As a Full-Time Custodian, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facility. In addition to performing custodial duties, you will be responsible for setting up and tearing down tables and chairs for various activities throughout the day. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with established guidelines.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
- Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and well-maintained.
- Set up and tear down tables and chairs for events, meetings, and other activities throughout the day according to specified layouts and instructions.
- Ensure entryways and porch areas are clean.
- Light laundry as needed.
- Snow removal and spread salt as needed to keep a safe entry to building.
- Respond promptly to any cleaning or setup requests from staff or management.
- Maintain a safe and orderly work environment at all times.
- Assumes any other duties as determined by supervisor
What you need:
- Previous custodial experience preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as tables and chairs.
- Occasionally ascends/descends ladders.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to adhere to scheduled shifts.
