Number of Openings 10 Time Type Full time Job Description DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Duties include but are not limited to: During training, participates in lectures, examinations and other training evolutions. During on-the-job portion of the training the candidate, in order to gain knowledge and proficiency in plant operations and equipment, will perform control room and in-plant duties. Refer to the Nuclear Plant Operator Susquehanna job description for specific duties. MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or Equivalent Related technical training or relevant experience may warrant up to six (6) months of credit towards this requirement. Passing the Operator Helper Selection Examination Demonstrated ability to follow procedures, rules, regulations and instructions Satisfactory physical and psychological condition as indicated by company-provided examination Valid driver's license Medically qualified in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations 10 CFR 55.11 (a) (1) and (a) (2) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two-year Associate Degree in either Nuclear Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology or Applied Science (as determined by the company), or successful completion of the U.S. Naval Nuclear Power Training Program.
