Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Repair Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have skills in welding, metal fabricating, panel straightening and body repair.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and sheet metal work
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering tools for fabrication and repair tasks
- Use auto estimating skills to assess damage and determine repair costs
- Conduct vehicle maintenance checks post-repair to ensure proper functioning
- Assist with assembly, heavy lifting, and other mechanical tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety protocols
Experience
- Dealership experience is highly desirable
- Proficiency in MIG welding, welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
- Hands-on experience with auto body repair, auto painting, auto glass replacement, and auto restoration projects
- Familiarity with sheet metal work and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Experience in auto estimating and vehicle maintenance is a plus
- Prior work involving auto painting, airless paint spraying, or automotive repair is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
