Job Description
The Kennel Assistant is responsible for the safety, care and management of the dogs in our facility. This position will assist the Kennel Manager with the day-to-day operations of our facility. The Kennel Assistant will be responsible for the following:
- Cleaning and disinfecting kennels and equipment
- Feeding and water management
- Reporting any concerns or issues to management or staff veterinarian
- Interacting and watching dogs in play yards
Skills & Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work location
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Must have good communication skills. (verbal, written & listening)
- Must be able to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds.
