What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at 6 Degrees Group?
6 Degrees is currently searching for a Development and Property Accounting Manager for a real estate and property company. This position is 100% in the office.
Duties will include:
- Handle full cycle accounting for development projects and real estate investment partnerships, including bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Oversee property management accounting and assist in audits.
- Aid in onboarding new property management clients and setting up development projects in the accounting system.
- Serve as a liaison between development and property management for smooth transitions.
- Assist with annual reports, partnership contributions/distributions, and financial statements; manage tax preparation with external tax preparers.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and CAM/Tax/Insurance reconciliations.
- Generate client-specific financial reports and conduct variance analysis.
- Must have 7 years in property accounting, real estate experience, a bachelor's in Accounting, supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Yardi is required; MRI is a plus. CPA preferred
