The Signature Apartments and Townhomes are currently seeking to hire a Dynamic- Full-Time Maintenance Technician in Silverdale, WA.
6 Star Management is a privately owned management company specializing in first-class property management! The company is looking for a motivated, relationship-driven and hardworking individual.
Summary: The Company's ideal Maintenance Technician is expected perform repairs, unit- turns, and preventive maintenance at the property. Additionally, the ideal Maintenance Technician must maintain good relationships with residents; maintain and enhance the value of the community and contribute to the economic success of the property.
Responsibilities:
General Maintenance & Repairs:
- Perform routine inspections and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve resident maintenance requests efficiently and courteously.
- Complete work orders and document work performed.
- Repair or replace appliances, fixtures, and hardware as needed.
Unit Turnovers:
- Preparing vacant apartments for new tenants (painting, patching, changing locks, cleaning, etc.).
- Perform inspections of units before and after move-outs to assess damages and needed repairs.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on systems such as HVAC, water heaters, fire alarms, and other mechanical components.
- Monitor and maintain equipment logs.
Grounds & Exterior:
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of building grounds including trash pickup, power washing, snow/ice removal, landscaping tasks, etc.
- Inspect and maintain lighting, stairwells, hallways, and parking areas.
Emergency Response:
- Participate in after-hours emergency on-call rotation as required.
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues such as water leaks, power outages, or lockouts.
Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
- Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and ensure proper storage and handling of chemicals.
- Comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and Fair Housing guidelines.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in property maintenance or skilled trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Basic computer or mobile app literacy for work order tracking.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and climb ladders for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED
