Job Description:
- Become familiar with fraud trends and schemes
- Investigate fraud claims as directed, coordinate with the appropriate parties (internal and external), determine the appropriate disposition of the claims including completion of appropriate paperwork.
- Track fraud trends and proactively prevent fraud when possible
- Participate in meetings with various business owners and Fraud Department
- Review fraud alerts and reports and proactively respond to appropriate parties
- Set travel alerts for cardholders
- File Currency Transaction Reports
- Update Beneficial Owner and CDD information in monitoring software
- Address change verifications
- Dormant account verifications
Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
Semester: Spring/15 weeks
Start Date: January 6, 2025
Hours: 225 hours/semester
Hours per week: 15-20
Major(s) Requested: Criminal justice, forensic accounting, law enforcement or related field
Qualifications
Qualifications: (types of classes taken; computer skills; other software that might be helpful; personal skills):
- Forensic accounting, criminal justice and/or law enforcement classes
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft office, especially MS Word and Excel
- Self-starter, must be able to work independently after given adequate instruction
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized and attentive to detail
- Willingness to maintain member confidentiality
