Division Profile: The WM and U.S. Banks Financial Crimes Risk Team is embedded within the Firm’s business line. It is responsible for identifying, assessing, and escalating potential money laundering and reputational risk issues associated with higher risk client types and higher risk products and services. The WM and U.S. Banks Financial Crimes Risk Team is considered the first line of defense and supports the onboarding, enhanced due diligence, and negative news processes for Morgan Stanley. Position Summary: The team is seeking an experienced candidate to provide end-to-end business management support. Program Support coverage areas include E*TRADE Digital Direct, Morgan Stanley at Work, Crypto, CTRs, CIP, Fraud, Sanctions, Travel Rule. Critical to the individual’s success will be their ability to “hit the ground running,” focusing on critical priorities, earning the confidence and trust of the First Line Financial Crimes Risk Management, Second Line Global Financial Crimes, Onboarding Operations as well as the Digital Direct and Morgan Stanley at Work Business partners. The role is to ensure coverage, and to work directly with FCRO risk leads, including but not limited to E*TRADE Digital Direct, Workplace (MS@W), Crypto, CTR, CIP, Fraud, Sanctions and travel rule. The individual must be able to operate independently with limited oversight, collaborate with FCRO risk leads to find creative solutions to resolve issues and identify, track and implement process enhancements and risk mitigation strategies. Also, this person will coordinate with Program Design team and Project Management / Change Management office to execute tasks and projects on a timely basis and communicate effectively and responsively with all colleagues. Because of the broad nature of the role, candidates must have: The ability to manage multiple deadlines and initiatives simultaneously, often under tight deadlines, while maintaining high standards and a critical attention to detail. Responsibilities: - Support the preparation of executive support and senior-level presentations, workstreams, etc., including content on key program deliverables, strategy, analytics, and risk and control objectives - Coordinate with FCRO, Business and Operations stakeholders/leaders to validate and evolve multi-year strategy and plans against that strategy - Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to research, develop, and present executive briefings to leadership teams, develop ongoing communications that share the progress and quantify the impact of team led initiatives and status, to ensure awareness, transparency, and collaboration - Support COO teams during financial forecasts / budget exercises - Assisting in the organization of, and preparation for, (including agendas, presentations, and logistics, as applicable) a variety of meetings (e.g., weekly leadership team meetings, and departmental all-hands meetings and offsites) - Interfacing with FCR leadership team and communicating pertinent information across the Department & organization - Assisting in identifying the overall needs of the organization, marshaling appropriate resources, and ensuring that priorities are seen through to conclusion - Support in Regulatory responses and Remediation efforts, including Regulatory, Senior Management and Board level presentations and readiness Required Skills: - At least 5 years of experience the Financial Services industry. - Very strong critical thinking skills. - Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint for data analysis related tasks. - While not required, familiarity with the following would be beneficial: VBA, Tableau, Dataiku - Strong organizational skills to ensure all reporting and supporting materials are appropriately documented with procedure documents in place for future reference. - Confidence and comfort operating in high-paced and high-profile environments. - Demonstrable track record of handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately - Ability to research and resolve issues independently while working across teams to acquire information. - Highly motivated, self-starter that can work autonomously and can independently take initiative. - Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborating across large organizations. - First Line Risk & Controls, Compliance or Audit experience - Experience in supporting audit and regulatory inquiries and interactions with Board, senior management, consultants - Bachelor’s degree required. Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100K-$135K per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
