We are seeking a highly skilled IT Risk leader to join our 2nd line of defense Operational Risk Management team. This position will report to the Head of Operational Risk Management and be responsible for providing governance and independent oversight of information technology and security risk management. The Operational Risk Director will implement the Group’s risk management framework and processes for Information Technology and Security, including processes designed to enable the ongoing identification, assessment, monitoring, mitigation and escalation of risks. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of Technology and Cybersecurity Risk Management Frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO, etc.) and assist management with ensuring alignment with industry and regulatory requirements. This role will also provide risk advisory and support on key technology initiatives, third party risk management, information security, enterprise resiliency, and other key areas. Key Responsibilities: Support execution and continuous improvement of the Operational Risk Management Framework within the broader Enterprise Risk Management program Collaborate with other risk and control functions to enable an integrated risk management approach and escalation / mitigation of key issues Facilitate and execute Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) in collaboration with Information Technology leadership, helping to identify, document and assess key risks and controls Analyze operational risk events and near misses to determine root cause, trends and preventative actions; collaborate with applicable internal stakeholders to develop risk mitigation plans and oversee / track remediation Oversee the company’s alignment to NIST and ISO cyber and information security frameworks Monitor and report key technology risks and issues to senior leadership, including the Management Risk Committee and the Risk Committee of the Board Provide risk partnership and advisory services to the COO, CIO, and CISO on key technology initiatives Promote a strong risk culture through effective communication, risk management training and stakeholder engagement Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Computer Science or related field 10 years of experience in operational risk management, internal audit, IT Risk, Cybersecurity, or a related field; experience in insurance or financial services a plus Deep knowledge of IT, Security and Risk disciplines and practices within a financial services global regulatory environment; strong understanding of operational processes across technology functions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with cross-functional partners Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to influence outcomes, minimize and address conflict, and manage stakeholder expectations Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Location: West Chester, PA, New York, NY, (Hybrid: 2-3 days per week in the office), Resolution Life US is committed to disclosing a reasonable estimate of the base salary for our job roles. These estimates consider a wide range of factors in making base salary decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first.
