Job Description: Clinical Supervisor
A Beautiful Mind Certified Mental Health Center is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to work in our Chicago office.
Position Summary
The Clinical Supervisor directs and manages an effective clinical service delivery team using applicable principles of Social Work and/or Counseling which include - patient psychosocial assessment, group and individual psychotherapy, family intervention, patient/family education and treatment planning.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The clinical supervisor will support primary care and behavioral health providers in managing patient mental health care with the following responsibilities:
- Supports evaluation of program services to enhance patient outcomes and acts as a positive change agent to implement clinical initiatives to increase quality patient care.
- Conducts assessment of each patient’s psychosocial status and functioning in an effort to document history and identify preliminary items for the treatment plan.
- Facilitates the overall development and implementation of a comprehensive, individualized plan of treatment in conjunction with other treatment team members.
- Incorporates the patient’s psychosocial functioning and strengths in the plan of care.
- Provides and/or arranges for therapeutic intervention as appropriate for clients in a crisis situation.
- Follows up to determine reliability and validity of treatment used; makes recommendations regarding modification to services and service delivery.
- Prepares and maintains reports and case histories.
- Evaluate and sign off on clinicians’ SOAP notes.
- Consults with other therapists and related professional and paraprofessional staff, as appropriate, in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework: refers clients to appropriate service agencies as required.
- Attends staff meetings and team conferences; leads team meetings.
- Participates in, leads and/or coordinate training sessions and workshops to enhance treatment skills.
- Maintains current knowledge base on counseling issues regarding psychosocial disorders through conferences, educational requirements for licensure, and applicable current literature.
Required Knowledge, Education, Experience or Licensure/Registration
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- Must be a licensed LCSW, LSW, LPC, or LCPC
- Positive attitude and open approach to clients, staff, and visitors
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid)
- Experience in delivering high-quality, client-centered care
- Proficient computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary team
- Excellent organization skills, including the ability to work productively and make independent decisions
This position is a full time role and will be 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday
40hrs per week
