Overview
Location: 100% Onsite; Office location in Canonsburg, PA 15317
Job Type: Contract - Approximately 2 Months
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card
The A.C. Coy Company is currently seeking candidates for a temporary IT Support Technician role. This individual will serve as a main contact for Level 1 & 2 technology issues and support the company’s network infrastructure, including hardware components, cabling, and network software. Our ideal candidate will have 2 years of IT Support experience, including a strong background with Windows, Active Directory, and network hardware and software.
Responsibilities
- Install network hardware components and cables
- Configure network software
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to ensure long-term network efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the network
- Ensure the network operates securely
- Provide technical support to co-workers through a HelpDesk system
- Collaborate with other members of the IT team and management
- Perform necessary upgrades to the network infrastructure as needed
- Monitor system service agreements
- Improve system performance by identifying problems; recommend changes
Qualifications
Required
- An Associate Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 2 years or more of experience providing IT Support in a corporate office environment
- Experience with Help Desk, operating systems, phones and system administration
- Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory
- Ability to multitask and prioritize independently
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Solid knowledge of various networking technologies
- Hands-on experience configuring networks - cabling, routers, switches, etc.
