Marketing Intern

Mission

The A-C Electric Company Internship Experience Program offers a diverse, personalized learning journey. As a Marketing Intern, you will gain practical skills, develop professionally, and explore various career paths within our marketing department. This 10-week summer program immerses you in real marketing projects, fostering both personal and professional growth. You’ll engage in networking opportunities with peers and senior leaders, tackle meaningful marketing challenges, and launch your career in the exciting field of construction industry marketing.

About You

We are looking for creative, motivated, and results-driven students with a passion for marketing and communications. Ideal candidates are eager to learn, adapt quickly, and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Desired majors include: Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities and Internship Benefits

Over the course of our 10-week internship, you will have the opportunity to:

• Work directly with a mentor in your field of study, contributing to real-world marketing campaigns and projects.
• Participate in Book Club assignments to enhance communication and leadership skills.
• Collaborate with company leaders to discuss marketing strategies and the future of A-C Electric Company’s brand.
• Build a lasting professional network through social events and team-building activities.
• Attend “Meet & Greets” with industry leaders to develop vital networking skills.
• Assist in the creation of content for social media, website updates, and digital marketing efforts.
• Help organize and support promotional events, marketing campaigns, and internal communications.
• Develop a formal presentation on a summer marketing project, showcasing your creativity and insights.
• The Marketing Intern will be supervised by our Director of Talent.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience)

• Ability to work full-time for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (Beginning May 27 to August 1).
• Currently enrolled in a college or university with an expected graduation on or before August 2027.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Strong academic performance (preferred GPA of 3.0 or above).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as demonstrated through coursework, internships, or leadership roles.
• Experience in marketing, public relations, or content creation through class projects, internships, or student organizations.
• Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for storytelling and brand development.

Relocation

Must be able to relocate to Bakersfield for the entirety of the internship.

Pay Range: $16.50 per hour to $20.00 per hour. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
