Milling Machine Operator

Qualifications
- 2 years in the asphalt industry
- Knowledge and understanding of asphalt milling machines
- Must be able to learn an an accelerated pace
- Able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with supervisors/co-workers
Requirements & Responsibilities
- Safely operate large roadway equipment in multiple environments
- Ability to communicate with spotter and foreman on ground conditions and situations
- Ability to read site layout plans
- Able to utilize a string line to ensure maintaining the proper alignment
- Understand production and quantity requirements
- Responsible for daily maintenance on equipment which must remain in proper and safe working order
- Notify supervisor if equipment needs repair
Experience
- Asphalt Mill Operator: Preferred
- Will accept 2 year equipment operator in the asphalt industry
License/Certification
- Driver's License (Required)
- CDL (Preferred)
Willingness to Travel
- 25% (Required)
