What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher/ infants to school age position at A Children's Place Learning Center?
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching educational experience.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's development and any concerns or updates.
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a classroom setting with preschool-aged children is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, theories, and practices.
- Familiarity with child welfare guidelines and regulations.
- Understanding of special education needs and strategies for inclusion.
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care for toddlers, including diaper changing and toilet training.
- Knowledge of physical education activities suitable for young children.
- Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Familiarity with early intervention techniques for children with developmental delays or disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
