A&E Manufacturing is a leading manufacturer of high-quality metal components, and we are currently seeking an experienced Sheet Metal - Grinding and Deburring Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate grinding and deburring equipment to remove excess material and smooth edges on sheet metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine appropriate grinding and deburring procedures.
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on grinding and deburring equipment, ensuring machines are in proper working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to ensure timely and efficient production.
- Assist in the training and development of new team members on grinding and deburring techniques.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement, recommending adjustments to improve quality and efficiency.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, including grinding, deburring, and finishing techniques a plus and will result in higher starting wage
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
