Duties
- Assist in preparing detailed construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope documents using tools like PlanSwift and Bluebeam.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to develop accurate project budgets and cost projections.
- Support the review and negotiation of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Coordinate pre-construction activities including site assessments, material take-offs, and scheduling to ensure smooth project initiation.
- Utilize construction management software to track project milestones, manage documentation, and update estimates as needed.
- Assist in developing bid proposals by compiling all necessary cost data, schedules, and scope details for submission.
Qualifications
- Proven experience or strong familiarity with construction estimating processes; experience with PlanSwift or Bluebeam is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of construction site operations, safety protocols, and general construction management principles.
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Familiarity with contracts, project management practices, and cost control strategies within the construction industry.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
