What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospice RN - Pedi Experience position at A Hug Away?

The Pediatric RN is responsible for delivering care to the pediatric population and deliverance of quality of care from the agency down to the client care level.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Agency shall employ a Pediatric RN who :

Is a licensed Registered Nurse within the State of Texas.
Maintains and meets all licensure requirements within the State of Texas.
Minimum of 3 months of experience in pediatrics within the past 15 years. Preferably 1 year of experience in home health.
Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

DUTIES

The Pediatric RN will :

Be responsible for all services regarding pediatric patients.

Provide care for all pediatric patients to Inc.lude submitting patient progress notes each week.

Adhere to the agency policies and procedures

Maintains in contact with the primary physician and notifies him / her timely of a change in the patient condition.

Participates in case conferences for pediatric patients and prn.

Participates in in-service and orientation of nursing staff for pediatric clients.

Participates in Performance Improvement activities as requested.

Participates in staff meetings to discuss pertinent patient information and all other information related to the agency’s operations and provisions of quality health care.

Participate in continuing education programs to promote personal professional growth and maintain licensure.

Participates in the on-call system per schedule.

Follows the Medicare / Medicaid / MDCP / CCP / and other regulatory guidelines. Maintains compliance and adheres to the rules for home health and other program requirements as established by payer source.

Any other duties as assigned.
