A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Second Shift Distribution Associate in Plainfield, IN!
The position is with the world’s leading medical technology company! This would be full-time / 40 hours per week.
The Distribution Associate is responsible for material handling, order processing, and general warehousing tasks related to the accurate and timely shipment of goods. This role plays a key part in the fulfillment cycle, ensuring product integrity and workplace safety.
Distribution Associate Compensation
- The pay for this position is $19.50 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Distribution Associate Highlights
· This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
· The required availability for this position is Monday-Friday 2:45pm-11:15pm
Distribution Associate Responsibilities
· Process customer orders by scanning barcodes, picking cases, and labeling boxes
· Palletize orders and scan completed shipments for tracking
· Operate manual and RF systems to manage inventory and shipments
· Maintain order accuracy and ensure proper packaging
· May assist with dock manifesting, shrink wrapping, and ground/manual manifest stations
· Cross-train in other warehouse functions and act as backup as needed
Distribution Associate Requirements
- Dock experience and basic understanding of inbound/outbound processes
- Pallet jack experience required
- Forklift experience a plus (not required)
- Ability to operate RF scanners and/or MHE (Material Handling Equipment) preferred
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- If no diploma/GED, must have at least 1 year of applicable work experience
- 1 year of relevant distribution or warehouse experience preferred
- Experience operating MHE (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) preferred
Knowledge & Skills:
- Ability to read and understand distribution documents
- Capable of obtaining electric pallet jack certification
- Familiarity with RF scanners and general warehouse operations
- Good organizational and time management skills
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and use of hands
- Normal vision (corrected to 20/40) and adequate hearing for MHE operation
- Ability to work in moderate to loud environments and near mechanical equipment
Work Environment:
- Moderate to loud noise levels
- Potential exposure to moving equipment, temperature changes, and airborne particles
