Title: Python Developer

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Note: This is a W2 contract position – 1099, C2C, & 3 rd party candidates WILL NOT be considered

The Python Developer is responsible for the development, programming, and coding of Information Technology solutions using R/Python to enable Customer Experience applications. They are responsible for documentation of the system, conducting unit tests and peer code reviews, maintaining internally developed applications, and conducting evaluation and performance testing of purchased products. They are responsible for including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and data processed or output by the application.

Position Qualifications:

· 3 years of professional software development experience, with strong design and coding skills in Python

· 3 years of professional experience with R and SQL/Stored Procedures

· Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocols, as well as change management procedures

· In-depth understanding of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

· Strong database knowledge in SQL, DB2/Netezza, and/or SQL Server

· Excellent understanding of RESTful Architecture style

· Demonstrated experience working with REST APIs using Python

· Demonstrated experience developing scheduling of batch processes and processing batch files in Python

· Proficiency using standard desktop applications, such as MS Suite, and flowcharting tools such as Visio

· High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy

· Ability to take a methodical approach to evaluate various libraries with pros and cons to meet business and technical requirements

· Demonstrated organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills, including flexible team player ability

· Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities

· Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance

· Demonstrated initiative and effective independent decision-making skills

· Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately

· Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

· Experience using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies preferred

· Healthcare or Financial industry experience preferred

· A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required
