Cook & Support Staff

We are searching for a great cook and support staff to join our team! Experience in food preparation of any industry is preferred. Along with preparing meals, this position would also be responsible for driving a van to drop off and pick up School Agers.

This would not be considered a primary teaching position and outside of driving a van to/from school with School Age students, there would be very limited time spent with students. This is primarily a support staff role in the child care center.

As a staff member for A Step Ahead Child Care Centers, you will spend your days nurturing and encouraging the children in your care. You will:

~ Implement the cycle menu, purchase and prepare food and support center staff with nutrition activities

~ Prepare, organize, and complete USDA Food Program paperwork

~ Set up the food for all meals and snacks

~ Join the children and other staff at the table during mealtimes whenever possible

~ Clean and maintain kitchen, food service utensils, equipment, and food storage areas

~ Drive a center van to pick up and drop off School Age students

~ Give guidance, support, words of encouragement, and smiles

~ Support your fellow teachers and create a professional environment of mutual respect
