JOB PROFILE
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and culturally fluent Senior Manager of
Global Marketing to lead U.S. marketing strategy and execution for K-pop artists under aka.
Entertainment. This role serves as a vital bridge between KPOP(AKA) Entertainment’s Global
Center in Seoul and U.S.-based partners, including major record labels, touring agencies,
media outlets, and merchandise partners.
As the U.S. marketing lead, the ideal candidate will have deep understanding of both the Korean
and U.S. music ecosystems, and will be responsible for developing and executing
comprehensive, cross-functional, and culturally resonant campaigns that elevate KPOP(AKA)
Entertainment’s artists while aligning with global priorities and brand identity of both the artists
and the company.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY:
Lead U.S. Marketing Strategy: Develop and drive end-to-end marketing campaigns for
KPOP’s artists in the U.S., working closely with label partners and internal stakeholders
across commercial, digital, press, radio, commerce, and more based on alignment with
KPOP HQ’s creative strategies and release priorities.
• Partnership & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with a wide range of U.S.-based
partners and stakeholders to deliver integrated and impactful campaigns.
• Global Campaign Alignment: Serve as the primary liaison between KPOP HQ and U.S.-
based teams, facilitating seamless communication, alignment on global timelines, and
culturally relevant execution across all initiatives.
• Creative & Content Localization: Provide strategic input on adapting global creative
and content initiatives for the U.S. audience while preserving each artist’s core identity.
• Analytics & Performance Reporting: Oversee marketing performance and reporting,
including DSP and social performance tracking, fan engagement, campaign recaps, and
business reviews to provide ongoing strategy.
• Fan Engagement and Market Trends: Monitor digital trends and interpret fan behavior
in the U.S. market to shape effective content strategy and community growth strategy.
• Real-Time Communication: Ensure consistent and timely communication between KPOP
HQ and U.S. teams, managing cultural nuances and time zone differences to drive
smooth campaign execution.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue strategic opportunities in branding, media,
digital, and commercial partnership that can enhance the visibility and commercial
success of KPOP artists.
REQUIREMENT:
7–10 years of experience in music marketing, ideally at a major label, talent
management firm, or agency, with a proven track record of managing global artist
campaigns.
• Direct experience working with K-pop artists or Korean entertainment companies is
strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of the U.S. music industries, including DSPs, media, touring,
merchandise, and fan ecosystems.
• Passion for K-pop and strong understanding of fan-driven culture and community
engagement strategies is preferred.
• Demonstrated success managing cross-border campaigns and aligning global release
strategies.
• Experience with budget oversight, marketing performance analysis, and stakeholder
negotiations.
• Exceptional cross-cultural communication and project management skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment based with
precision and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English Korean language proficiency is highly preferred.
