Travel Agent (In-Store Sales)

At AAA, we are looking for a full-time team member to join our team of professional Travel Agents. Experience is preferred, however, if you love to travel, and have personally traveled, we offer extensive training and professional development every step of the way, including paid familiarization (FAM) Study trips. What we can offer you: Convenient Store Hours: Monday, 9AM to6PM, Tuesday - Friday, 9AM to 5PM, and Saturday, 9AM to 12PM (37.5 hour work week, no Sundays) Competitive pay, based on experience and location, along with monthly performance-based incentives for achieving established production tiers Comprehensive health benefits package Over 3 weeks of paid time off accrued during the first year Paid time off to volunteer Tuition reimbursement and professional designation programs 401(K) plan with company match Complimentary AAA Premier level membership The primary duties of a Travel Agent are: Sell international and domestic travel packages including cruises, land packages, air travel, car and hotel Educate our clients on preferred travel products and services offered by the Agency Successfully meet or exceed goals through relationship development with our members as well as growing your client base through new business referrals Cross-sell relevant products to enhance the travel experience such as the AAA Travel Advantage Visa Credit Card Prepare and process relevant travel documents and invoices in an organized and efficient manner. Comply with and remain educated on current Airline Reporting Corporation (ARC) regulations and AAA Club Alliance policies and procedures Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent (a graduate of an accredited travel school preferred) Minimum of 2 years sales experience required; Travel Industry and/or personal travel experience preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Proficient computer skills including the ability to multitask in several websites and programs Knowledge of Geography and current world events AAA Club Alliance (ACA) is an equal opportunity employer.
