System Engineer Analyst (Hybrid)

Summary
The System Engineer Analyst designs, implements, and maintains client PCs and servers, providing technical consultation to AAA, Inc. and clubs for efficient client/server systems. This position analyzes, develops, and tests alternatives for the AAA, Inc. network, intranet, and website services, and ensures hardware/software compliance. The System Engineer Analyst also monitors network security, troubleshoots issues, and suggests enhancements while researching new technologies and offering cost-effective solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Investigates, analyzes, and develops, tests and documents alternatives and plans for client PC systems on AAA, Inc. network, intranet, and website services.
• Responds to user requests for hardware, software installation, and scripting new and/or modified systems resources involving the AAA, Inc. network.
• Determines, documents and implements the most effective installation methods for hardware and software to comply with both user requests, including client image builds.
• Maintains critical patch compliancy, remediation, troubleshooting ongoing problems, and coordinating the appropriate resources to attain timely resolution.
• Monitors, implements and recommends new security patches to ensure the internal network servers and clients are protected from viral and hacker threats. Monitors servers by utilizing system management tools to produce regular ongoing performance reports. Makes recommendations to avoid degradation of performance below pre-established levels.
• Supports the goals and objectives of the Systems Management as they relate to the mission of AAA, Inc.
• Investigates new and existing technologies to be implemented into current or future Microsoft Windows client/server environment. Research sources includes, but is not limited to, vendors, technical trade magazines or journals, and the Internet.
• Provides consultation services to AAA, Inc. and clubs to analyze their needs and recommend the most cost-effective solution.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems and minimum of three (3) years’ experience as system administrator, involved in planning and implementing PC/server solutions and providing troubleshooting and system management; or,
• Associate’s degree in computer science or information systems or applicable industry standard certifications and a minimum of six (6) years’ experience as a system administrator, involved in planning and implementing PC/server solutions and providing troubleshooting and system management.
• Thorough knowledge of systems in both a localized and enterprise environment; with major emphasis on planning, installation, configuration and integration of these systems. Ability to support Mac systems preferred.
• Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) preferred.

Salary Range

$65,000 - $75,000
