We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team in the construction industry. Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and backhoes for digging, grading, and other construction tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow on construction sites.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in horizontal drilling operations as required for utility installations.
- Safely transport materials using dump trucks and other heavy equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in paving activities as part of road construction projects.
- Report any mechanical issues or concerns with equipment to supervisors promptly.
Skills
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation, specifically excavators and backhoes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining machinery.
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of site safety practices.
- Familiarity with paving techniques and equipment used in road construction.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar machinery is preferred but not mandatory.
- Capability to operate dump trucks for material transportation.
