What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Community Manager position at AAMCI?
AAMCI is excited to hire an energetic individual who is qualified with Section 8 project based and tax credit experience to join our team as Assistant Community Manager at a 124-unit multi family community located in Maryville, TN.
Part time up to 29 hours per week. Hourly rate $17.
The community is an affordable housing community with Section 8 project based rent subsidy and LIHTC, providing housing to income-qualified residents. In this position, AAMCI expects strong customer service, safety management, skill set development and time management with the goal to create a home and strong communities for each of our residents to thrive.
AAMCI provides many training opportunities, and many paid opportunities to obtain higher levels of certificates.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Marketing of qualified households to increase occupancy
- Answer telephone inquires - busy multi phone lines
- Lease vacant units
- Interview potential applicants
- Assist with third-party verifications
- Follow-up with applicants
- Submit files as needed for compliance
- Intake of work orders
- Data entry and correspondence
- Annual Recertifications (AR)
- Interim Certifications (IR)
- Process verifications
- Move outs, Move out deposit accounting
- Submissions to collections
- Assisting in inspection of units, buildings, and common areas
- Ensuring that all maintenance requests are handled in in a prompt, efficient, and cost-effective manner
- Ensuring that all vacancies are prepared and leased in a timely manner
- Always striving for 100% occupancy
Qualifications necessary for success:
- Organized
- Customer Service
- Yardi Voyager experience
- Section 8 (HUD) and LIHTC Certifications
- MS Outlook
- Ability to remain calm in stressful or difficult situations
- Administrative experience
- Clear communication skills, Written and verbal
